Privacy Policy
How TravelPrep currently handles query inputs, basic technical logs, affiliate links, and any future Google analytics or publisher tooling.
TravelPrep currently operates on a data-minimization basis. We do not provide account registration, do not ask users to submit payment details, and do not actively request passport scans, ID uploads, or other highly sensitive personal documents.
This policy explains what information may be processed when you browse the site, switch languages, run travel-policy queries, click affiliate links, or if we later enable tools such as Google Analytics or Google publisher products.
1. Information we currently process
To render pages and return query results, the site may temporarily process travel-related inputs that you choose inside the interface, such as passport country or region, destination, departure location, and travel dates.
Those inputs are used primarily to generate on-page results and preserve the current page state. Apart from basic technical logs, we do not currently maintain long-term personal profiles based on those query inputs.
- Basic access data, such as IP address, device type, browser type, timestamp, referrer, request path, and basic error logs.
- Page-state data, such as language choice, selected destination, and query parameters, so the site can behave consistently after refreshes and navigation.
- Affiliate-click data, where a partner or affiliate network may record click source, timestamp, device information, and attribution parameters after you open a partner link.
2. Information we do not actively collect
- We do not currently offer user registration, login, or membership accounts.
- We do not currently process card details, payment credentials, or insurance claim materials on the site.
- We do not currently require passport-photo uploads, visa-page uploads, or other identity-document uploads.
- We do not sell personal information.
3. Why we process information
- To provide core site functionality, including language switching, page routing, policy rendering, and performance stability.
- To maintain security and troubleshoot failures, including abnormal traffic review and server or application error logging.
- To understand whether content pages and partner entry points are useful, including measuring destination-page visits or partner-link clicks.
- To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.
4. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies
The site may use necessary cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to preserve language selection, current query state, and essential security settings. These technologies are generally used so the site can function properly.
If we later enable Google Analytics, Google publisher products, or other non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this policy before activation and provide consent controls or cookie notices where required by applicable law.
5. Google services disclosure
As of the last-updated date shown on this page, we did not identify enabled Google Analytics, Google Ads, or Google AdSense frontend scripts in this repository. We therefore do not claim that you are being tracked by tools that are not actually active.
If we later enable Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google AdSense, Google Publisher Tags, or other Google services, Google may process device information, browsing behavior, cookie identifiers, or advertising attribution data under its own policies. We would update this policy, consent flow, and disclosures before that activation.
6. Affiliate links and third-party services
TravelPrep may display third-party eSIM, insurance, and other travel-service partner links. Once you click out to a third-party site or affiliate network, that party will process information under its own privacy policy.
Before purchasing, subscribing, or activating a third-party service, you should separately review that provider's privacy policy, cookie policy, and terms.
7. Sharing of information
- Hosting, content delivery, logging, security, and performance providers.
- Affiliate networks, partner merchants, or attribution providers, but only to the extent needed for click measurement, commission settlement, or source verification.
- Regulators, courts, or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is legally required.
8. Retention and security
We try to limit retention and keep data only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the site, troubleshoot issues, meet legal obligations, or maintain standard business records.
No website can guarantee absolute security. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, but cannot promise that internet transmission or third-party systems are risk-free.
9. Your choices
- You may stop using the site at any time or avoid submitting unnecessary travel-query inputs.
- You may clear cookies and local storage in your browser or use private-browsing modes.
- If we later enable Google or advertising tools that require consent, we will provide an appropriate consent-management flow where required.
10. Children
This site is intended as a general travel-information tool and is not primarily directed to children. If you are a minor, please use the site with parent or guardian guidance.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if site features, partners, Google-service usage, or legal requirements change. The revised date on this page will show the latest update.
